The Milwaukee Justice Center can help with legal advice for issues
including landlord/tenant, eviction and eviction records, small claims,
debt/collections, probate, guardianship, divorce, child
custody/placement, child support, and pardons/expungement. (Advice not
provided for open/pending criminal cases, only post-conviction issues.)
Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers are invited to drop-in and play with sensory toys and activities. Recommended for children 6 months to 5 years old with a caregiver.
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Wisconsin’s legendary political, social, and cultural leader, Vel R. Phillips at your Milwaukee Public Library. Join us for a screening of the Wisconsin Public Television documentary Vel Phillips: Dream Big Dreams which tells the story of one remarkable woman and the struggles she undertook to build a better community. After the screening, a panel discussion will follow moderated by HYFIN Radio Host, Element Everest-Blanks. Panelists include Vel's son, attorney Michael Phillips, and Alderwoman Milele Coggs. During the discussion, there will be an opportunity to create a beautiful Vel Phillips-inspired bookmark.

Join us at the library for a neighborhood walk. Walks will begin at the East Branch and take a 1.5 to 2 mile loop through the neighborhood, rain or shine, and will use ADA accessible routes. People of all ages and abilities are welcome, including stroller users! Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Water and a light snack are provided. All participants will need to sign a physical liability release form. Wednesdays, 11:30 am-1 pm; April 17, May 1, May 15, May 29.

including Narcan,
fentanyl testing strips, and medication lock bags.
