Let’s eat! Snack Hack explores the world of food through cooking demonstrations that focus on nutritional elements, food groups, cooking principles, and the history of food. Learn how food is grown, the cultural connections to what we eat, how food works in our bodies, and how to prepare meals at home, as well as the differences between vitamins and minerals, braising and sautéing, and fiber and protein. Snack Hack also reveals the culinary world through library resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy eating snacks created each week. All supplies will be provided.

Branch for community members. We are here to serve you and your healthcare
needs. Services available include Consultation with a nurse practitioner (immediate
care needs, medication review, one-on-one education, and goal setting) Consultation
with a nurse practitioner for children, the guardian must be present (immediate
needs, health questions, review milestones and safety) Health Screenings (blood
pressure, blood sugar, depression, anxiety) Care Navigation and Referrals
(connection to a medical home, behavioral health referrals, community resource
referrals). Services are provided at no cost.
Career Navigators
in the Worker Connection Program will host a table to promote their services
and resources. Career Navigators will also assist patrons with creating their
resumes and job searches. They will provide hands-on services by guiding
patrons through the navigation system of employment.

Take a weekly walk through beautiful Washington Park with a librarian and others. You'll be getting exercise without realizing it as you enjoy the company of others and the wonders of nature as you stroll through this Olmsted-designed park.
This introduction to yoga will focus on low-impact standing and chair-assisted poses. Please wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Chairs will be provided. This class is accessible for all ability levels; no props needed, including mats. Upon arrival, participants will be asked to sign a physical activity waiver. Registration is encouraged.
