Green Roof Tours of Milwaukee Public Library's Central Library are offered Wednesdays at 12 noon, and Saturdays at 10 A.M. from late April through October.

Enjoy an afternoon of time travel, aliens, and other strange phenomena in celebration of the 150th anniversary of H.G. Wells’ birth. Prof. Gerry Canavan, assistant professor of contemporary literature at Marquette University, will speak on the impact of Wells’ early writings and his role in the invention of science fiction. Items from the Richard E. and Lucile Krug Rare Books collection will be on display. The program includes a special broadcast of Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds radio drama.
